Intellectual Property & Digital File Policy
This policy explains ownership and permitted use of Print Pals 3D designs, products, photographs, written content, digital design information, and other intellectual property.
Physical Products
Products sold through our store are physical finished goods unless a listing specifically states otherwise.
Digital Files
Design and manufacturing files are not included with physical product purchases and are not offered unless specifically stated.
Original Designs
Original Print Pals 3D designs and associated creative materials remain the intellectual property of their respective owner.
Ownership of Print Pals 3D Designs
Unless otherwise stated, original designs, modifications, prototypes, product configurations, graphics, photographs, written descriptions, branding, and other original content created by or for Print Pals 3D remain protected intellectual property.
The purchase of a finished physical product grants the customer ownership of that physical item. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying design or intellectual property used to create it.
Digital Files Are Not Included
Unless a product listing specifically states that a digital file is included, all Print Pals 3D products are sold as physical products only.
Purchasing a physical item does not include access to:
- STL files
- CAD or editable design files
- 3MF or slicer project files
- Manufacturing files
- Prototype files
- Source files
- Production settings or manufacturing documentation
- Internal design measurements or development information
No Right to Reproduce or Manufacture
A physical product purchase is for use of the purchased physical item. It does not grant permission to reproduce, manufacture, copy, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit the underlying Print Pals 3D design.
Unless written permission has been provided, customers may not use Print Pals 3D intellectual property to produce additional copies for personal resale, commercial sale, distribution, or manufacturing by another party.
Copying, Scanning & Reverse Engineering
Purchasing or possessing a Print Pals 3D product does not grant permission to duplicate the design by scanning, measuring, modeling, photographing for replication, reverse engineering, molding, casting, tracing, or other reproduction methods.
This restriction applies whether reproduction is performed by the customer or by another person, business, manufacturer, designer, or service provider acting on their behalf.
Voice Writer Enhancement System
The Print Pals 3D Voice Writer Enhancement System incorporates original product designs and configurations developed by Print Pals 3D.
Products identified as Patent Pending may also be subject to pending patent rights in addition to other applicable intellectual-property protections.
Product Photos, Graphics & Website Content
Print Pals 3D product photographs, graphics, advertisements, website layouts, written descriptions, logos, promotional materials, and other original content may not be copied and used to advertise another seller's products or services without permission.
Sharing a link to our website or sharing an original Print Pals 3D social-media post is different from downloading our content and presenting it as your own.
Custom Design Work
Custom projects may involve customer-provided photographs, names, logos, measurements, concepts, sketches, or other reference materials.
Customers are responsible for having the necessary rights or permission to provide materials they ask Print Pals 3D to use in a custom project.
Ownership and reuse rights for newly created custom design work may depend on the specific project and any written agreement associated with that project.
Third-Party Intellectual Property
Some products or creative elements may incorporate designs, brands, artwork, characters, logos, or other intellectual property belonging to third parties.
Nothing in this policy transfers ownership of third-party intellectual property to Print Pals 3D or to a customer. Third-party rights remain with their respective owners.
Requests for Design Files
Customers and other parties are welcome to ask questions about our physical products, compatibility, ordering, and available customization.
However, Print Pals 3D is not obligated to provide proprietary design files, manufacturing information, measurements, development data, testing information, internal documentation, or other intellectual property in response to a request.
Unauthorized Use
Print Pals 3D reserves the right to take appropriate action when its intellectual property is copied, reproduced, distributed, manufactured, sold, or otherwise used without authorization.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under applicable copyright, trademark, patent, contract, or other law.
